Saffell Library believes strongly in the power of the written word. And with this belief comes the promotion of our new leisure reading collection. We’ve recently purchased darn near every book that’s appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List (Paperback Mass-Market Fiction) for the past three months.
Escapist fiction is often pooh-poohed but recreational reading can be linked with academic achievement. (You want an A in that econ class don’t you?) Ok, ok, we can’t claim reading the latest Twilight book will garner instantaneous academic excellence…only time will give you that answer. But we fully believe it’s worth a shot. So whether it’s a smut-ladden, paranormal tale filled with vamps and tramps, or, the latest legal-techno-whizz-bang-thriller, we’re bound to have it. Because at the end of the day reading should be fun. Reading should make you smile. Come on over and grab a book to go. Or sit a spell and read. We’ve got comfy chairs. Better yet: its free.
